The objective of the Western Ski & Snowboard Club is to provide exciting and unique opportunities for students to enjoy the sport of skiing and snowboarding through community building. We focus on organizing trips throughout the school year to various resorts and locations, including students of all experience levels and backgrounds. Our primary vision is to create a sense of connection amongst members and to impart students with memories of skiing and snowboarding in their university experience. Western Ski & Snowboard Club will host various social events throughout the school year and ski trips during the winter season that are tailored to all interested students, regardless of skill level. Our mission for the Western Ski & Snowboard Club is to bring students together and bond over something we all call home. We want our members to feel welcomed and to create lasting friendships with those who share the same love of skiing and snowboarding. The Western Ski & Snowboard Club gives the opportunity for every Western student a chance to enjoy the winter sports they love.

WaterAid Western is a club dedicated to cultivating a community of passionate students who care about sustainable solutions for water, sanitation, and hygiene issues. Our purpose is to engage students in discussions and activities related to clean water and sanitation issues while raising awareness and funds on behalf of the organization WaterAid. WaterAid is a global non-profit organization that aims to make clean water, as well as toilets and hygiene sources, available to everyone through the implementation of sustainable solutions. The organization focuses on awareness and education of the public as a whole, including the community that requires water access, in order to improve accessibility. Basketball fans rejoice! The Western Basketball Association is the place to celebrate and embrace your love for all things basketball! From basketball tournaments to watch parties, NBA debates to fantasy leagues with prizes, the Western Basketball Association is the perfect place to be if you love all things basketball. With a common shared bond for basketball, the WBA allows you to connect with likeminded people, make lifelong friends, and really embracing the all important saying: "Ball Is Life!"

The Western Accounting Association was created to meet the demands of students interested in the accounting profession. WAA provides students with the opportunity to explore the Chartered Professional Accountant designation and learn the requirements of either program. The club primarily acts as a liaison between professional firms, accounting bodies and students by offering information sessions, useful resources and tools that aid professional development and sending members to competitions such as the Chartered Professional Accountants Ontario's CPA Challenge and Chartered for Finance Conference. WAA also sends multiple students to external case competitions, and hosts a number of in-house networking events to build relations between students and major accounting firms. We help you network with professionals in the industry so that you can be successful when recruiting for internships and full time jobs!

Whether you?re a long-time fan, or someone who wants to see what anime is all about, Western Anime Club is HERE to make sure you can have lots of fun with others that have similar interests!! Our exec team this year has worked really hard to make sure fans from every corner of the anime world have a place in our club.

WAC provides all undergraduate students, regardless of their artistic abilities, with the opportunity to participate in multiple art and craft workshops throughout the year. Students will be able to socialize with others who have a similar interest in the visual arts, and create a tangible product by the end of each workshop.

You can access these through our project teams for now, but stay tuned for later in September for the educationals to be released to all members.PEER-TO-PEER LEARNING: Sign-up for our P2P learning sessions to work through AI courses facilitated by members of our WAI executive team. We will have discussions and exercises based on the content of online lectures in a collaborative environment to keep you engaged and thinking outside the box.PROJECT TEAMS: So, you?ve learned about AI, but how do you actually build a ML application from start to deployment? Work with fellow members of Western AI & directed by a project manager to build a selected project ranging from Cats vs Dogs Image Classifiers, Medical Classifiers, Self-Driving cars, and more.CAREER GROWTH: Western AI aims to help students elevate their careers by exposing them to new paths or giving them the skills to use AI in any field of interest. Our network of sponsors will open up a talent corridor connecting Western?s AI talent with the industry.

AboutThe Western Association of Role Players is a vibrant community with a goal of encouraging the enjoyment of role-playing games & TTRPGs. We have a wide variety of events to help folks find games to join, to learn more about TTRPGs, and to foster community. Our year starts with Introcon, which is free for everyone to attend. Gamekeepers will pitch their games, and you get to chat with them and pick a game you'd like to join. Or you can be the one to pitch your game and gather players! After that, we host a number of one-shot conventions, where we gather to play themed one-shots that our members have put together. So join us! Whether you're a RPG veteran or completely new to the hobby, we're the perfect club to get you going. We look forward to rolling some dice with you this year, gamers!

We also strive to support other underrepresented groups, including BIPOC individuals and members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, to ensure they feel a sense of belonging in aviation. Welcome to Western Climbing Club (WCC)!The Western Climbing Club works hard to provide a friendly, active climbing community for Western University students. No matter if you are a beginner or an expert, our goal is to provide a positive experience for everyone!Our club holds weekly climb nights at the Junction Climbing Centre. We also help members join belay lessons for a discounted price, provide exclusive offers, promotions, and gear from our sponsors, and a great way to meet new friends and break away from the school routine! In addition, we run many in-house competitions and contests as well as compete with other schools through the University Bouldering Series (UBS)!The club is open to all Western students and skill levels, even those who have never tried rock climbing before.
