The Western Ski & Snowboard Club is one of the largest and most energetic clubs on campus, dedicated to bringing students together through a shared love of skiing, snowboarding, and adventure. We organize unforgettable trips to top resorts throughout the school year, open to all experience levels from first-time riders to seasoned pros. Our mission is to create a welcoming community where students can connect, make lifelong friends, and share incredible memories both on and off the slopes. Along with our legendary winter trips, we host exciting social events year-round, making the Western Ski & Snowboard Club more than just a sports club. It is a place to belong, explore, and have the time of your university life!

WaterAid Western is a club dedicated to cultivating a community of passionate students who care about sustainable solutions for water, sanitation, and hygiene issues. The Western Basketball Association exists to provide students the opportunity to engage in group activities while promoting physical activity and bringing students together to build lasting social experiences and friendships. WBA will hold a wide variety of social events that focus on students seeking to enjoy themselves in a group setting that surrounds the sport of basketball. We plan on holding events such as a 2K tournament, NBA/March Madness Socials, Basketball Tournaments/collabs and more! WBA's vision is to continually promote basketball and personal excellence for each student and a life long love of the game in a caring, respectful and supportive environment.

The Western Accounting Association (WAA) was created to meet the demands of students interested in the accounting profession. WAA provides students with the opportunity to explore the Chartered Professional Accountant designation and learn the requirements of either program. The club primarily acts as a liaison between professional firms, accounting bodies and students by offering information sessions, useful resources and tools that aid professional development and sending members to competitions such as the Chartered Professional Accountants Ontario's CPA Challenge?and Chartered for Finance Conference. ?WAA also sends multiple students to external case competitions, and hosts a number of in-house networking events to build relations between students and major accounting firms.

For anime watchers, regardless of knowledge level. We host weekly anime nights, as well as numerous events like our annual Maid Caf?. We hope to create an environment that welcomes all anime watchers and will be worth your time!

You can access these through our project teams for now, but stay tuned for later in September for the educationals to be released to all members.PEER-TO-PEER LEARNING: Sign-up for our P2P learning sessions to work through AI courses facilitated by members of our WAI executive team. We will have discussions and exercises based on the content of online lectures in a collaborative environment to keep you engaged and thinking outside the box.PROJECT TEAMS: So, you?ve learned about AI, but how do you actually build a ML application from start to deployment? Work with fellow members of Western AI & directed by a project manager to build a selected project ranging from Cats vs Dogs Image Classifiers, Medical Classifiers, Self-Driving cars, and more.CAREER GROWTH: Western AI aims to help students elevate their careers by exposing them to new paths or giving them the skills to use AI in any field of interest. Our network of sponsors will open up a talent corridor connecting Western?s AI talent with the industry.

The Western Association of Role Players is a vibrant community with a goal of encouraging the enjoyment of tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs). We have a wide variety of events to help folks find games to join, to learn more about TTRPGs, and to foster community. Our year starts with Introcon, in which GM's will pitch their games, and you get to chat with them and pick a game you'd like to join. Or you can be the one to pitch your game and gather players! After that, we host a number of one-shot conventions, where we gather to play themed one-shots that our members have put together, as well as workshops, and other miscellaneous conventions. In December, we're holding a chill hangout night to watch movies, play board games, paint, and vibe. And in February, we're hosting a marketplace for all our creatives to sell their work, workshops, or commissions! And let's not forget the WARPshops! Join us every other week for an evening workshop where we discuss various aspects of TTRPGs to improve our storytelling skills. So join us! Whether you're a Table Top veteran or completely new to the hobby, we're the perfect club to get you going. We look forward to rolling some dice with you this year, gamers!

Western Chamber Music (WCM) was established for those who are passionate about music or hoping to develop a new talent/hobby. We welcome and provide a comfortable environment for students at all skill levels. WCM provides an opportunity for people to connect with other musicians through our jazz band, orchestra, and small ensembles. We have held many successful concerts and charitable events in our community, and we look forward to continuing this tradition and expanding it across UWO's community of passionate musicians.

The Western Chess and Go Club hosts weekly meetups, intra- and interschool tournaments, and casual charity events, while also offering lessons and tutoring for players of all levels.

Welcome to Western Climbing Club (WCC)! The Western Climbing Club is all about building a fun, welcoming community where Western students can discover or grow their passion for climbing. Whether you're brand new or already an experienced climber, our goal is to make climbing accessible and fun for all. We host weekly climb nights at Junction Climbing Centre or J2 Boulders, run in-house competitions with awesome prizes, and take members on outdoor and ice climbing trips while teaching safe practices. In addition, members get discounts on belay lessons, gear, and activities. We also keep the energy going off the wall with bar nights, yoga classes, and other fun adventures that bring our community closer together. The club is open to everyone, even if you've never climbed before. Newcomers and Grad Students are always welcomed, we'll help you learn the basics and get started with the fun. We're the funniest group on campus! We do any and all things funny, improv, sketches, stand up, goofs, you name it! We meet twice a week, once for Improv Club and once for Write Club. Come to one or both!Improv Club:We do improv at weekly meetings, both Canadian Improv Games-style and Whose Line Is It Anyways-style. If you did improv at high school, or if you're interested in learning good performance skills then come on down! No previous experience required. We've been asked to do workshops for business clubs on improv skills too! It's a great way to work on staying cool under pressure. We also do shows! Write Club:This is where the written word gets awesome. Here we write sketches, videos, stand-up and anything else. It's smaller, laid back and packed with hilarity. Looking to workshop a short play you've written? Punch up a sketch? Make a hilarious YouTube video? WE DO IT ALL. It's a great place to practice creative writing and collaborative stuff. The best part? We have a huge show where we put it all on!The Improv Team:This is a dedicated group of students who represent Western in competitions around Southern Ontario and Quebec against other schools (Such as McGill, Brock and UofT). We hold try-outs in October, and have a final team of 8-10 people. We do plenty of training sessions beforehand though, and have taken on people who did improv at high school and people who just started. Western CFC strives to achieve the goals of the not-for-profit registered charity Crafting for a Cure by facilitating unique volunteer opportunities for students. Through arts and crafts, as well as other creative activities, volunteers will get the chance to interact with children in hospitals and health organizations around London. Western CFC allows students to engage themselves and the creative minds of kids while giving back to the greater London community. Volunteering will combine the creativity and caring nature of Western students with interacting with children to create an enjoyable and memorable time for both!
