Welcome to Western Model United Nations! We are so excited to have you here. Since our inception in 1997, we have served as one of the longest-standing clubs here on Western campus; we can’t wait to have you join us. While we are called Western MUN, our focus stretches beyond that of simply participating and organizing Model UN conferences. We seek to involve our membership in opportunities that allow them to apply the knowledge they know about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to real-life situations, such as participating in food drives or other charitable events. Through discourse and debate, we hope to introduce more students to the UNSDGs, and for our returning members, we hope these events will help improve public speaking and research skills that can be applied in other disciplines. This year, we will be holding our annual conference, WESMUN, during the fall semester and will be sending a delegation to Montreal for McMUN in the winter semester.
