The Purple Spur Society (Spur) is Western University?s largest and oldest social charity club. For over 83 years, Spur has embodied Western?s spirit by hosting a variety of social and philanthropic events that unite the campus community. Through these events, ticket sales and donations have helped Spur contribute $45,000 to Childhood Cancer Canada in 2025 alone, and over $180,000 to local charities in the past decade. Spur is dedicated to fostering connection, enhancing the student experience, and championing values of diversity, inclusion, and empowerment?truly living and breathing the spirit of Western.
